What if my waiver application got denied?

Please contact our customer service at (812)360-2313 immediately. If your plan did not meet the waiver requirements of your school, our customer service representatives will assist you in upgrading the insurance plan to the eligible plan. Otherwise, please request for a refund.


To request a refund, please send the following documents to sm@smcovered.com in English:

  • Your legal full name in English
  • Your birth date
  • Your email address
  • The insurance plan you purchased
  • Write “I would like to have a refund because my waiver got denied by my school” or similar explanation of why your waiver got denied
  • A proof of your denied waiver application (For example, a screenshot of an email from your school indicates that your waiver is denied)

We will process your refund application ASAP once we received the email.
